Dr. Johnnie M. Green's 40 DAYS IN HIS PRESENCE is a devotional derived from a series of daily morning prayer calls and reflections on God's Word during Lent 2025 with who he calls, his "Sweet Members" of Mt. Neboh Baptist Church. Each day of this 40-day devotional offers fresh encouragement, deepened faith, and strengthened hope to help each reader draw nearer to God amidst the busyness and burdens of life. It is Dr. Green's prayer that as you read this devotional, you will feel the same power, peace, and presence of God that he and the "Sweet Members" of Mt. Neboh Baptist Church-Harlem experienced.

Dr. Green's FROM RUIN TO RESTORATION is the product of a transformative six-month journey of faith, learning, and leadership undertaken by the Mount Neboh Baptist Church family in Harlem, New York, under the spiritual guidance of our Senior Pastor, Dr. Johnnie M. Green, Jr. What began as a Bible Enrichment series focused on the Book of Nehemiah evolved into a powerful movement within our church—both spiritually and physically—as they walked through the themes of ruin, renewal, and restoration together.

On January 19, 1979, as a 17 year-old young man growing up in the Highland Hills community of South Dallas, Dr. Green stood to preach his first sermon at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church-Dallas, where Dr. Miller E. Johnson, Sr., was Senior Pastor. That day marked the beginning of a lifelong journey—a journey shaped by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and one that has taken him far beyond anything he could have imagined. ​​​​
