Dr. Booker J. Person

began his preaching ministry at just 10 years old, was licensed at 12, and ordained by the time he was 15. He was called to pastor his first church at age 20 and has since served congregations in the cities of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Harvey, Illinois. He now serves as Senior Pastor of Greater Bethel Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio—his home church. A seasoned evangelist and revivalist, Dr. Person has ministered across the United States and abroad in countries including Mexico, Italy, Germany, Israel, Egypt, China, and Korea. Booker Person's dynamic preaching continues to draw invitations for revivals and conferences worldwide.

In addition to pastoring, Dr. Booker Person is a respected social activist and organizational leader. He has lobbied in the U.S. Senate, contributed to civic causes such as the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign, and currently serves as President of Progressive Clergy for Better Communities. He is also CEO of Gospel Proclaimers Connection, National Overseer of Pastors in Kingdom Connection Fellowship International, and CEO of Person Empowerment Network, LLC. The Rev. Dr. Person holds a Doctorate in Theology, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministries.

He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Dr. Vickie V. Parker Person, an accomplished educator and administrator. Together, they have three children, Jamella, Stephen, and Brooke, and two grandchildren, Jaloni and Journey. The Person family enjoys making music, traveling, and spending quality time together.
