Proceeds also go to the J. C. Wade, Sr. Scholarship Fund established by Derrick for young preachers to continue their theological education. Derrick's great uncle, Rev. Dr. J. C. Wade, Sr., who was born in 1909 and transitioned to be with the Lord in 1999, was a true preaching prototype of The Greatest Generation. Derrick's experiences with his great uncle radically reformed his life and walk with God. J. C. Wade, Sr. had a passion for preachers, especially young aspiring preachers. J. C. Wade, Sr. is also detailed in this historical landmark and written work.
